Prepare enough Just Born, with the enclosed measuring scoop, for use within a 24 hour period.Puppies should be fed at least 1/2 ounce of liquid Just Born for every 2 ounces of body weight, daily. Puppies should be allowed to consume as much formula as they want. The table at right gives minimum feeding amounts for a 24 hour period. For puppies 1 10 days old, mix 1 scoop powder into 2 scoops water. For puppies older than 10 days, mix 2 scoops powder into 3 scoops water.Use tap or bottled water. Stir until smooth. Pour liquid into an appropriate sized, clean Just Born nursing bottle. Heat liquid by placing bottle in a pan of tepid water. Test temperature on your wrist. It should feel slightly warm. Do not microwave. Store Just Born powder in the refrigerator. Refrigerate unused reconstituted liquid for up to 24 hours. After feeding, hold the puppy's head on your shoulder and rub his back gently until he burps. Make water available after puppies are 2 weeks old. Farnam puppy water bottles are recommended.
